Hey everybody, I’m a nooby and I'm sorry if this question was asked before, but I'm stuck at finding a good niche which merge my talents. As you notice, I’m don’t have good writing skills neither in English nor in my native language (German, Russian). But I’m a well programmer, i can easily make any kind of software, offline or online, for windows, mac or iPhone, etc. I have problems to find a need for a software or software service witch isn’t build yet. Can anyone suggest a ebook, strategy or a web-page witch deals with the research of software products? Free Information would be nice
Hi, for software you need german and english languages. This are very important languages. You need a copy protection product (examples: Wtm copy protection, exestealth). There are no strategy, it is very hard to sell.
You really need to find out what people do that is tedious then automated it for them. You can do this by searching for problems people have on forums and yahoo answers then solve that problem through automation, you will already have buyers waiting. I have some thoughts on how I would love software to cut my research down for Amazon products, I could share them with you for a review copy.LOL Also run a poll on forums offering the top 10 suggestions review copies then you won't be short of future projects. Also look at what already exists and think how to improve it. Maybe look at the newbie market and take away a lot of the learning. Hope this helps P
You can monitor the freelance forums and see what types of software people are requesting and need. Sometimes its a good place for culling ideas.
Hi! The first thing you may want to consider is re-adjusting your perception of who you are. You're not a nobody. In fact, you're a God amongst men considering you have technical skills that the majority people lack. You're a lot more powerful than you realize. Here's the seceret... and it's not going to be as fun or as sexy as you might want it to be. But forget about inventing something that's "new" or "innovative." F-k that! Look at what's already selling. Then come up with a version of your own that is different insofar as implementation or in the way in which the user interface is designed. Think of it this way... how many car companies are there? What do they make? Cars! How many companies that make pencils and pens exist? Have you seen all the different kinds of pencils and pens that are sold? Yet they all basically do the SAME thing! It's really just a matter of saying "f--k it!" and coming up with your own version of something that ALREADY exists. Good luck!
