I follow the auction held by godaddy.com. That time I took to the domain auction dotso.com (PR5) are also listed in dmoz.org. And fortunately I lost, because after a few days the domain PR become 0 (zero). How can that happen?
I'm using http://www.checkpageranking.com/ (FAKE PAGERANK DETECTION & COMPLETE DOMAIN ANALYSIS) in checking if the PR of the domain is valid.
Thank you geekos, that is helpful link, but it seems there is a lack of it, whether the website is redirected or not, at this time there are many people do fraud PageRank by redirecting their website to any higher pagerank website. I have read this useful article http://seoblackhat.com/2005/07/26/how-to-fake-a-google-page-rank-10-or-any-pr-you-want/
Page rank takes a while to update so if been lost it wont always register until the next update. A good way to quickly spot fake PR is to check the cache of the page in google. If the cache shows a different page to the one you are looking at then it's fake.
use google toolbar to check for the PR. or you can search tool from google to check PR of the website.
Google Tollbar is the best way to stay updated but Google has 2 Pageranks, One is external which you see on the toolbar and the other is Internal which gets updated daily. So don't worry. on the next pr update you might get your pr back. And if it's fake the chances of it getting even pr 3 are very low!
