I did some affiliate marketing for some time now and I noticed that for example ebook authors promote a good convertion rate. My experience is that even if I am promoting their product to targeted customers the conversion rate they promise is never reached. It is acctually much lower. Is there a tool or website where a marketer can find the exact conversion rate for a product ? It would save us from so many disapointments.. Thanks for sharing!
I'd be interested to hear if there is such a tool to find out real conversion rates ... but then a new product might become a hit ... one without a history.
A lot of people lie, especially the ones pushing their crap onto affiliates, like the ones here, so you should not be surprised. There is no tool for this. Think here...how can there be one? Average conversion rate for most products is 1 out of, around, 100. Things like ringtones and downloading music is 1 out of, around, 50. That gives you an estimate, something to go on.
