If you are taking Paypal, they are secure, you don't have to worry about them scamming you as long as the transaction is through Paypal. If someone sent you a $50, you would get an email from Paypal and that means your paypal account is credited with $50.
Tis is what I do: usually I checked if they have confirmed address or not. (that can be found in payment reciept email paypal sent you). or I check if they're verified + how long (new or not) + from where this way: - Log into paypal, click "send money" and type in that buyer's email and put in $0.01 - At payment preview (before finalizing), it gives you the email address' link to check verify or not and if in US, Canada or International AND also how long he/she's been paypal member. - Then of course simply cancel to send money.
Having a confirmed address means you are verified ? It will only disclose 1 of these 3: US, Canada or International ?
usually but not always. My second option posted above will show you/disclose: - Verified or not - From where (yes only the 3, but not sure if they've updated to show more countries) : last time I checked only US verified, International Verified, etc... - How long : paypal member since x yrs and x days
Not at all. Paypal, while somewhat secure is not so secure that "you don't have to worry about them scamming you". It's quite easy to obtain paypal accounts, and to abuse them, and all users have to do any more is say "I didn't authorize that purchase", or "my account was hacked", and you've lost money.
Does it also say from which date the user is verified ? Anyway, verifcation doesn't guarantee anything since you can get verification witha VCC....
After you log into Paypal, open a New Browser window and type https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_seal-entry&pal=someone@somewhere.com Replace the 'someone@somewhere.com' with the other parties email address and it will show you if the person is verified or not.
