How to find nearby location from a database using google api

    Hi,

    I have a database which has address fields. I have to search and find places based on a text string (eg: Pizza) but results to be shown have to be based on the values in my database.

    Does google places API serves my purpose of searching nearby places for a keyword and then comparing it against the database to show the results.
