The search at http://www.dmoz.org/search/ is probably more authoritative than any third party's, though it can lag reality by a few days. Just enter your web address without any http or www prefixes.

If your site is not listed, and Jim has told you above how to REALLY check if it is, then you cannot update it because it is not listed. I am afraid only editors can update or edit, but if a site is listed then there is a button on each page to offer updates, but an editor has to agree them. Please do not re-submit as that can disadvantage your site.

This thread has already been pruned once of posts from folks who don't bother to first read the thread - and now it's building up again. Mebbe it's time to close it.

Some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.

I guess the search database is out of date.
Your website is listed so is this an issue?

Yep, even i found this issue with dmoz, site is being listed but it is not showing in the search results. May be some caching problem.

Its more then likely due to an outdated system which does not function by any of today's standards. However, they ARE trying to get upgraded, it's just taking an oddly long time.

I suggest using the google directory to search the ODP, while they may take a year or more to update their clone, their search feature is updated almost daily. (It's like the bizarro world of the ODP).
