    Hi,

I have sent an email two days back to my friend. I know very well that he is having the habit of checking his mailbox daily morning and evening. I have asked about my mail. He told me that he didn't open my mail. I know he is lying.

Is there any legitimate way to find whether he opened my mail or not. Please share your ideas…

the only problem with 'read receipts' is that the sender has to specifically request it prior to sending the email and THEN, usually the email client will ask the receiver if they want to send that receipt.

so it's only if the receiver is willing :D

my advice, ask your friend to take a lie detector test :p

one trick is to send the mail in html format and include a reference to a specific image file on your website..

most emailclients will ask if he wants to load images or not..
if he does then you can check in your website logs if it has been accessed
