I know this is an easy one but I can't seem to get the results I want.

What do I put in the Google search bar to see if a url is linked to from a site.

Something like. site:http://site to check . com "http:// my URL . com"

by the way the spaces in the two URLs are just to keep them from showing as links on dp

    Thanks

I think you can type something like this:
    site:the-other-site.com link:my-site.com

Problem with backlink checkers is that my site has hundreds of links to it, I don't want to look through the entire list. They also often leave out links.

canthought has the right idea, but I can't seem to get that to work either.

    site:http://www.norcalcars.com link:http://www.adacprogramming.com/NorCalCars.aspx
should show every page on the site I'm testing with but it doesn't :(

Try that search you mentioned above in MSN search: search.msn.com

    Go to yahoo.
    enter this in:

    linkdomain:yoursite.com site:theirsite.com

(the "linkdomain:yoursite.com" part looks at all your backlinks....the "site:theirsite.com" part says only show backlinks coming from that 1 site).

here's an example (if I wanted to know if any pages of webuildpages.com linked to digitalpoint.com)
