How to find if a subdomain is served from a different IP

    Hi all,

Hope I am at the right forum/section for this question.

How do one find an IP address of a subdomain if its from a different server. I mean we can find an IP of a domain but i need to know about the deeper url's

    example:
    xxxxxxx.blogspot.com
    freewebs.com/xxxxxxx

now we can find the IP of blogspot or freewebs easily, does that mean all the pages hosted on these sites are from the same IP?

If they are from different IP is there a tool which I can use to find them.

sorry for the wordings I am not into server administration

    Thanks for considering.

that is defiantly coming form same IP, In fact from same physical location also. It will be same IP as freewebs.com in case of freewebs.com/xxxxxx

type nslookup hostname on windows command prompt to resolve ip addresses.
    eg: nslookup wordpress.com
