How to find future products?

I've been running into a problem with getting data on future products to create a mash-up about them using information from webservices, because I'm finding many certain future products are not added to Amazon.

For example, Spiderman 3 is a sure thing. I did find the feed, but there are no images and very little information and users are not permitted to make comments. This limits what I can do with the feed, but at least I do get the ASIN. There are lots of other future movies, though, where I could not do this.

Another sure thing are the Simpsons seasons yet there is no data for any of the future seasons. This goes for all television show seasons, including Lost -- there's nothing on the current season yet I think Amazon could help to generate interest for a future product.

Another one is video games. As an example, I looked on Yahoo Video Games and saw they were featuring the upcoming "Age of Conan" video game. So, I searched for it on Amazon to see if it could be used as a base for a mash-up but this has not yet been added to Amazon -- I couldn't find it anywhere.

I think it would be in Amazon's interest to add these details as soon as possible. I can't imagine most of these products not being sold on Amazon.

What do you do as a programmer to get around this problem?

Well, what you can do is create the website already, so that by the time the hype starts your site will be indexed - and found. Then add amazon-links/ boxes.
