What software you are talking about? As far as i am concerned there is no such real thing which could give you such kind of information.

 

Why does it matter? Nofollow and follow links are both good.

Of course there is as long as the blog contains at least 1 comment with a url. All you would have to do is check the field in the link for a nofollow attribute.

 

I agree both are good, but there is a distinct difference and each have their purpose. Nofollow links will not help you increase in the Google SERPS and will not flow any PR.

If he's trying to increase in the Google SERPS, it absolutely does matter.

 

Do you have a directory list onhand of "do-follow" blogs or [do follow] blog-directories ?

 

It's better to find do follow blogs manually. You can use some Googleing tips like:

edu +"powered by WordPress" -"Comments are closed" +"Your keyword"


This will result listing of wordpress blogs relevent with your theme with open comments.

 

install NoDoFollow addon on Firefox. Im using this one and SearchStatus. It will highlight NoFollow link with red.

 

Dont wast your time finding those, as you never no when admin of the blog will change it form dofollow to nofollow, infact nofollow is also equaly beneficial in terms of SEO and referral visitors.

Awesome tip, thanks a lot! I was using this for a while but realized that most of my comments required moderation and would probably be deleted, so I changed it up a little:

edu +"powered by WordPress" -"Comments are closed" +"disqus" +"Your keyword"

By adding +"disqus" your search will look for blogs that use the Disqus comment engine. This engine allows you to login from an account (Twitter, etc) and post comments as that account. The Disqus comment system is VERY rarely moderated because they require you to login. If you login with your website's Twitter account that will also give your Twitter page some free promotion. I put up 40 comments in a matter of minutes, manually and unmoderated, using this technique. Just copy & paste your generic comment -- Disqus even tracks you across multiple blogs so you don't have to keep logging in!

Same with my. It's a very handy and can easily detect nofollow link.

 

Finding lists using google is always a good idea. Try this footprint - "powered by dotclear" + intext: "add a comment". This footprint leads to find you dotclear blogs that has dofollow comments enabled. Save your google search setting to 100 results per page. You can install SEOQuake toolbar to check pagerank. Dofollow lists are no wander with this type of footprints though it takes a lot of time to arrange a good list.
