Hmm best option is to use backlinkwatch and collect info.
Or use Yahoo! Site Explorer and navigate thru 10 pages (100 links each)

If you got another best .. must post here :p

Do you think the .edu's have helped?
I never know do they actually help more than a .com or other link. I know how to get them, but I have suspicions they are not helping me all that much.

.edu sites have high PR. They're labeled as authority sites, because they're not commerce websites.

Search .edu w/: site:.edu inurl:blog "post a comment" -"comments closed" -"you must be logged in" "KEYWORD"

Replace "KEYWORD" with the phrase your looking for. Also, some blogs are closed, or you have to log in. Using the minus sign will eliminate those sites.

Try using Backlink Agent. Use the Link Spy option and enter the url you are wanting to check. You can try Backlink Agent for free. Use my signature link to access Backlink Agent.

I can print a pdf report with every link you have edu,gov etc.. along with the keywords you want to rank for, where you stand with that process and your top competition. I can also recommend sites you should comment on in the report. For a fee of course.:D
