If you search for your own site in google, you may see something like: Pages similar to www.domain.com At the bottom. For me, this is almost always a list of my competitors. You can also sort through adwords ads and build a list of competitors.
search for your own keywords in Google and see what the other results are, or search: related:http://www.yoursite.com and it will bring up a list of sites that Google sees as related to yours.
Just search the keyword you are targeting with special inputs like inurl, intitle etc. The site you see on the 1-6 page are your main competition.

I have find the way to find competitor, Go to google.com and enter your own keywords and find what are the top websites in google search result now go to one by one on top 10 websites and get the idea that what they are doing, I have mobile phone website and at first i went google adword keyword and find the best keywords for me, and then I entered that keywords in google and find the results. My key word were mobile phone and used mobile phones then I got the closest competitors.
Here's another way to find your competitors in terms of keyword URL. Go to google.com. Type: inurl:"keyword"
Search your desired keyword on Google and check top results. Then you know your competitors. Also you can use of some softwares for finding them, like IBP, but its not free.
Searching for the keywords that interests you... would give out your competitor's list on the serp page! Check this site's back links in Site explorer or backlinkwatch and voila, you have their backlink list as well! Regards, RightMan
I recommend you to use google toolbar. In that tool bar there is a button called pagerank. If you click on that button it shows snap shot of your page, similar pages (competitors) of you site, and back links of your page.
Well, it is very simple. Just use this query ' allintext: your keyword or 'intitle:your keyword ' . It will show your competitor's site. Hope I am clear to you
