How To Find Best Travel Writers

    I would recommend just finding good writers who specialize in the travel niche. Offer a good rate (quality deserves a proper compensation), and you should be fine.

    Yep - I recently hired two bloggers and one writer and they have worked out really well. For bloggers use probloggers jobs board - its $50 and you will attract higher end writers but the results I got were excellent - for writers at a lower rate I put the same job on odesk and elance. I was actually looking for travel writers too.

    I would do a search for travel blogs with a high PR and also 500+ visitors a day. I would then contact the site admin and ask if they would do an article for your site. It may cost but their expertise would be worth it.

    I am also constantly looking for good Travel Writers and Bloggers and I can tell you that is not easy task. It is very difficult to find a great writer but it is possible. I guess, it depends on your requirements and how high your standards are.

    I personally have tried over 100 different writers from this forum, most of them will claim that they are the best and can do work very well. Unfortunately almost all of them are not good. I have only seen 2 great travel writers here who can write up to my standards. But my standards are very high. I always need high level of details, I am always looking for a writers who can write from his/her own experience, I want them to cover certain topics that can not be easily researched, sometimes certain details can not be researched at all - only personal experience will help here.

    Writing is just like cooking without a recipe. Anyone can cook. Anyone can pop frozen food into a microwave and have a meal prepared in 5 minutes, or make a simple sandwich. But can they cook a delicious 5 course restaurant quality meal?

    Interview people via elance or odesk or something. Look at past work and ask for a sample. You can pay a bunch of people 5 bucks for writing a paragraph on the same topic. Compare and then pay the person for whatever else you want done.
