How to find and delete spam links in footer.

I'm having a problem with my blog. It's ranking lower and lower by the day because of the spam links someone saw on my blog. I don't see them so how can I fix them. Also there are a few links in my footer which you can't see in footer.php. Any suggestions on what to do?

    Thanks.

The links in your footer have probably been encrypted (meaning your not ment to delete them, it's not part of the licence on using that theme).

Plus, your blog shouldn't rank lower and lower due to these links. There will be other reasons.

You could also try having a look at which plugins are currently active. Sometimes links on sites are created this way.

I know I'm ranking lower cuz of the links. I removed them and I ranked 20 postions higher. Then when I changed my theme I got the links again and now I don't know how to remove them.

Well if it's not inside your footer file, then it is being injected into there somehow, maybe via a plugin of somesort if you are using WP by the sounds of it.

I can only guess because you haven't posted any code or even a link, but try disabling plugins and see if it dissapears, then re-enable them 1 by 1 to see who is the culprit. Also try re-activating default themes and see if the problem still exists as you may have had an SQL injection or something.
