Presuming a person has an interesting and/or good idea, a popular, good question that comes up is, "How do I find an investor?". Here is a thread for that answer. I'm looking for an investor - DP, how do I do it? Where do I go? This thread is open for general "How/where do I . . . investor?" questions. Experiences? Help?
Find someone who has a profitable website, that has been financed by an investor, and ask him or her to give you information of the person who financed them. You can also google "venture capitalist firms," "venture capital," "venture capitalists," and get their contact info, get in touch with them and tell them about your website. These people usually invest in tech startups.
You need to have a good proposal to sell your product to investor. If your proposal is really good then i'm sure investor will give you money. I recommend you use this gobignetwork.
If you have a business plan layed out, you can try Google for some angel investors. Don't forget to include ROIs as companies want to see some actual figures before they throw money at you. http://money.cnn.com/2006/02/28/magazines/business2/angelinvestor/index.htm if that helps any.
In finding Investors... I am sure there are lots of DP members here... Not me... Well I think there is and I am sure you could find some...
in my opinion the best way to find investors is to rely on your social / friends network. the reason is simple .. they already know you and if you are intelligent then they will feel its worth investing in your company . after establishing your business and running it for some years , then you may approach banks/venture capitalist to lend hand because by this time you would have already proved whats your business model is all about ... hope this helps..
