    Hey guys,
Before I used to be able to filter out low paying ads by hovering my mouse over an ad and then directing myself to that site. But now it seems when i hover my mouse over it doesnt display the url. Anyone have any insight.. and is this against adsense tos? Thanks alot in advanced.

    Hey there,

Yeah - don't click on them to find out!!!

I just copy the shortcut on the ad and pick out the domain and look for the "&add_url part of the link. You'll probably have to convert codes back to alpha characters (%20 to a space, for instance).

It's a royal PITA, but it works for me :)

    Hope that helps,

    Mike

You dont want to even attempt to do this most times it wont help your earnings.

Most ads pay different amounts on different days, and different values depending on where the click comes from to begin with. Without knowing which ones are paying the super low, you could be blocking yourself from lots of potential revenue.

What do you mean by copying the shortcut? I can't seem to find the URL of the site.

Google wouldn't ban you for 1 accidental click though, right? Cause I've already by complete accident clicked 1 of my ads

No they won't. You could probably get away with clicking on your ads once a week if you were really desperate for 30 cents and they wouldn't ban you.

Just copy the URL of that site, visit them, and if you think its an MFA, filter it..

Unless they are MFAs which consistently pay $0.01.....

    Hey THere,

Sorry, should have been more specific:

Just a sample from right clicking an ad's link in ie7 and selecting properties in the dropdown menu (choose Address or URL and copy it all with ctl-c - it runs off the properties page)

Some parts removed to conserve space and not spam with my personal info:

Edit - without http so you can see the crpped link I posted:

From this, and confirming by looking at the ad, I would know I want to ban the frugalshopper.ca domain

Hope that helps out more :)

    Hmm...

Perhaps, I misunderstood your question. For instance my example was for an ad from http://frugalshopper.ca and I got that info from the properties of the link, therefore (if I didn't want to receive ads from that site, or wanted to visit it) I could use that URL to visit or filter out the site.

Did I miss something? Maybe I'm responding to the wrong response (too many forum topics going at once makes Jonny a confused boy ;)

    Best wishes,

    Mike
