How to fall asleep quickly? I have not slept well for two nights. So I don't have high spirit now. What can I do?
Get up early every morning about 5 AM; do some exercises stay up all day (no afternoon naps) and by 8 pm you will be worn out. I do that 5 days a week, never have a problem falling asleep. If that does not work try an OTC sleep aid like Sominex.
Get yourself ready for sleep by relaxing a few hours before bedtime. Take a warm bath, or write in a journal or diary. Also, put a few droplets of lavender oil on your pillow. Drink a glass of warm milk, with a teaspoon of honey stirred through if you'd like. Do this just before bed, but be sure to brush your teeth before bed...
Exercise during the day, then you will be tired enough to fall asleep quickly. The problem with most people is getting to sleep so this technique works wonders!!!
Meditation and hypnosis is great for sleep. Close your eyes and imagine floating above your bed. Look at how the room looks different from this perspective. Then float above your house and take a good look around. Now float off to somewhere that is comforting and relaxing for you. Maybe a beach or a garden for example. Now just enjoy your fantasy world. It doesn't matter if you get to sleep as you will receive a lot of benefit from this, and most people find that they fall asleep without even knowing it.
Two nights, that too much of wakening. Best is to take lots of exercise and a hot bath before you sleep.
Perhaps you can tell us more about why you can't sleep? I know I am having problems sleeping as well recently because my brain is going hyper running a lot of different things in my head. I tried some sleeping pills but they only relax my body and not my brain. If your body is restless go exercise. IF your brain is restless try writing down all your thoughts in a diary and meditating.
