If you want to use one internet connection for both the pc..then you will have to LAN both the pcs....To do that, you will need to install two LAN (internet cards) in the host or Main pc....one to connect to internet and the other to LAN with another pc.

Enable Internet sharing in the host pc too...and configure second pc accordingly and you would be ready...
PM me....if you get stuck :)

The best thing would be to get a router, it will help you connect all the three lines (1 main, 2 PCs), into the PC. And You won't necessarily need an extra LAN card, since almost all motherboards come with Ethernet socket!

    Good Luck!

    router/hub for sure!

you connect the main dsl to the router, then connect to the 2 pcs. Easy as can be.
Do note, however, that some ISPs will force you to buy/pay for a 2nd IP before both computers are permitted on thier system. If you hook up everything and it should be working, that may be why. Ask your ISP.

Try using IP messenger with Lan wire for connecting both PC's withount any hassle.. Then go to the internet settings option & enter the same information of your service provider as on the first one..U r ready to rack on/...
I think this should do it for you...GIVE IT A TRY!!!:)
