there is no magic formula. having lots of google results is nice, backlinks, multiple paying sponsors, etc.. all help-- but nothing picks a domain better than a human with good judgement. is it easy to spell? how long is it? etc.. unfortunately, buyers get greedy and reg too many garbage names for the most part and based on names visible on the boards.

check out dnjournal.com for weekly sales to see patterns of what's hot.

When buying a domain, also think that who can buy the domain name from you. If you think there are many ppl or industries which can be interested in buying it from you, then probably you may have good chance of selling it over.

I think dnscoop.com will give you the best estimate. However, I also recommend you advise from an expert domainer.

Feedbacks given through this forum (in the appraisal section) or Namepros are a good starting point.
Automated tools are an indication but can gives completely wrong results sometimes.

estibot.com could give you an idea for a price. But generally don't rely on scripts for appraisals

I would say just put in the Appraisals forum, and someone is bound to help you out...

Its really hard to say. Impossible really. Because someone on here might say its crap, but then you might find an end user that really likes it and wants to buy it for a few grand. I was told its always the end user that matters the most!
