    Hi -

I am creating a new site that will likely generate 25,000 page views a day. I plan to allow a single banner for advertising at the top, and at least three small ads on the right of the page, and one banner at the bottom of the page.

The site has a targeted market geared toward outdoor activities. Can someone help me understand how much potential income I could expect from a site like this?

    Thanks -

    Bob

That's a lot of page views.. what about unique visitors? (what most advertisers are interested in)

That's a good question. There will be a core group of about 7,000 that will visit on a weekly basis. They will probably generate 75% of the activity. The rest of the 25% will be a much larger population. The visitors will have a higher than average income and will have a need to purchase out doors equipment at least a few times each year.

How do you plan to get 7,000 unique visitors into the site? It seems like you need to shift your focus to converting sales as opposed to banner advertisng. Off the top of my head...maybe $1 to $1.50 CPM. It's hard to get more unless you are able to provide targeted banner advertising that has a higher rate of conversions.

EDIT: It also depends on where the ad is placed...you won't get the same amount of money for a banner at the bottom of the page as you will for one at the top.
