How to Embed Youtube Videos in Dreamweaver 8?

I've read a couple of tutorials which both say to start by converting the youtube URL from watch?v= ti watch/v/ and when I do that to the videos I want it says 404 error. I don't know if youtube changed this rule or what the deal is, I thought it was that the videos i was going after might have embedding turned off, but nope, it doesn't work for any youtube url I've tried. Can someone help me out here? I've got blank video boxes on my site at the moment.

YouTube offers embed code for videos. See the red border are of the image below, click the <Embed> button, and copy code from the pop-up hover window, then paste the code to Dreamweaver 8, and I believe the YouTube video will show.

I think you are putting the URL address of the video page. Instead try that link which YouTube suggests to put, as shown by Shirley1874.

Ah thanks for the heads up. I think the websites I was consulting were a bit outdated but this worked perfectly, thanks again.
