How to Edit Permalinks in Wordpress

    Hello

    I have installed wordpress on my new site. I have edited the permalink structure to category name/post name. Wordpress asked me to update .htaccess file. I have done that too. Actually I created a .htaccess file with the code Wordpress gave and then uploaded it into my wp-content folder using my FTP program. now I have added a post. The dashboard shows the URL properly: the site name/category/post-name.

    But the problem is the link appears to be broken when I click on it. Could anyone help me out.
