Hi, can anyone help with this, it must be an easy one for some out there

I need to put a video on a website and the guy has sent AVI, MPEG and WMV

I am not sure what format is the best to use?

Also, he only wants the first two frames to play on his home page and then a link to play the whole video on a different webpage

How do i edit this, what do i need? all i have is the standard windows media player

    Thanks for any help

Well a easy program would be Windows Movie Maker its free.
or Sony Vegas (very easy to use lots of preset effects)

if he only wants first 2 frames to play you should export those 2 frames into a .gif or .swf (flash) and you can link the .gif via html to the page with the full video.

The first two frames can be exported to a gif with AviTricks. The whole video could be uploaded to Youtube, for instance. Use the gif as a link.

There's a little bit of a learning curve when messing with digital video.

    Cass,

It depends on the final product you are going for and how long the total video is. If the video is short (under 30 seconds) flash might be an option. Does it need to be embedded into a webpage, or will users download / open it remotely? What file size are we dealing with here? Answer these questions and I will try to give the best advice possible.

Hi, what the guy wants is to have just 2 frames on the home page and then a link to view the whole video

The Mpeg is 47MB, the AVI is 973MB and the WMV is 22MB so maybe i should be using this one

I downloaded the Windows movie maker but it just crashes

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks
