We have a system whereby we automatically create AdWords ads for new products that get added to our site. Occasionally we'll have keywords that will sneak that don't make a lot of sense to advertise on because they are too broad, etc. So what I've been doing is going through and identifying the ads that we're spend a significantly amount of money on that probably won't give us a good return. However, the problem is that I can't figure out an easy way to delete this ads from the system. Using the "Advanced Search and Editing" tool I can easily identify keywords with a certain cost over a given time period. However, I don't want to delete them all (which would be easy). Rather I want to identify them and then manually choose which to delete. I've tried cutting and pasting them into the search utility but I always get a message that they cannot be found. I'd think this would be a pretty common task for advertisers and am surprised that it isn't easier. Anyone have any ideas?
Not the best answer but if you're willing to change them by searching, you could Select All, copy, and paste the list into Notepad before editing. Then Select All and paste back into AdWords... p;
Adwords has a nifty utility tool that makes this any many other tasks a breeze.https://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=47767
