This is what I would do. My first action would be to place Google AdSense ads on your blog. This would generate a primary stream on income while you THINK and implement new ideas Form there I would sell some link space or small 120 x 120 banner space exclusively to DP'ers for their generous tips. This would generate a second source of income while you THINK of more. Build on it. Good Luck!
I have put adsense for my yesterday and I got only 1.1$ for the last 2 days :S (The adsense is placed only in the index page though). Btw do you know how to place adsense in the top of every blog topic?
I would advice you using the adsense code by calling it as a general php function, so for example if you use wordpress and modify just your "single.php" page, which is for the post, you get your ad in all your posts. My advice for your blog which claims 20K monthly unique visitors would be to have ads in the visually hot areas, get analytics and see what your viewers are doing, after that avoid placing your ads in the common user blind areas... also rotate your ads every couple months so that viewers don't get used to avoiding it [also don't advertise irrelevant stuff]. Try to have moderately high contrast in your pages to avoid having a bland page unless your theme is primarily focused on elegance which mostly goes with simple shades. Where to get ads from? quite a silly question since you can relate to other product sites or blog sites of your niche with offers, i believe in all that link building you might have come across quite too many. You can also try to get more by putting 3rd party software affiliate links [software relating to your site theme would help, for instance an antivirus software ad for a techie site]. Besides that if your blog is big, you can hire a person to manage your on site monetization if you aren't good with it. Slowly and steadily you will see the money flowing, but be patient and wait till the fruits ripen Hope this helped you D3$1gN 3xp3rt
and to modify your single.php page login to your admin area > go to design (or presentation of you are using an older version) tab > go to theme editor. From there you will see a list of php pages on the right hand side - click on the single.php look for <div id="content"> then copy and paste your Google AdSense code below it. Make sure you copy and paste all the code in notepad before you do anything, just in case something goes wrong. This way you can transfer the code from notepad back to its original state. you can experiment by moving your adsense code to different areas in the code, just remember to always save the original code in notepad.
Set adsense in your blog. Also set affiliate link in your blog so you will alsos earn. You need to advertise your blog also after setting above list.
I live in hopes that Twitter will enable me. It's linked to FriendFeed. FriendFeed is linked to it. It is linked to my WP Blog. WP Blog is linked to it. So a tweet on the Twitter spreads to the aforementioned. The WP blog gets updated automatically with the Tweet which is supposed to trigger an alert to Delicious and others. Links from the WP blog trigger other blogs. That's a whole lot of waves from a 140 character snippet of a Twitter tweet pebble thrown in the internet pond.
