I would drive traffic using this strategy. Use free http://sitening.com/ tools to make sure that your website is SEO ready with all the structure. Set up Google Adwords and use their Website Content Keyword Tool to see which keywords Adwords think your site would advertise for. Put together a number of ads (3-5), use the ads that would describe your site the best including the offer that your site makes. Spend about $100-200 testing to see which ads and keywords work the best. Replicate adwords campaign in Facebook Social Ads Set up Promo Videos in Youtube, Metacafe etc (use TubeMogul.com, it will save you time). Make sure to use the description (best adwords ad) and a link to your website in description. Use tags that are long tail keywords (from your adwords) Go to forums and create a signature with the best working ad (google adwords) and a link to your website ofcourse. Go to sites that rank well in google for your keywords and have a look if you can buy banners there. Set up a banner with your best working adwords ad. You can advertise for as little as $25 per month. Use free http://sitening.com/ tools again to make sure that your website is SEO ready with all the structure and links coming in. If you can get into Yahoo and DMOZ directories you will be doing well. Set up a blog as a part of your website. Make sure to put navigation bar of your website, so that when spiders come, they can crawl your entire site from your blog. There are tonnes of things which you can do with your blog such as directories and social bookmarking sites.... This should get you going.
Using the same ad over different media and situations is very short-sighted. Different sites are not the same - for a start - Google ads are keyword triggered - Facebook ads aren't. Different rules, different audience, different ads.
Seems to be bit different way of driving traffic. I have to read your thread again and to start.... nice tip
Driving traffic is good for one of four things basically. The first is to make a sale, second is to have someone click away from your site and make money from that click, as in AdSense, or third you want to develop links. The forth would be to sign up for a newsletter. Of course you may want a combination of these. So where you spend your money and efforts depends a lot on what you want the visitor to do when they visit.
this works well for ebook sites. you can track conversions using Adwords Conversion Tracking to see which ads and keywords sell.
