i use a simple but effective trick to bring traffic.. i made several free softwares and release it on the web and the softwares brining me huge amount of traffic everyday.... now i get 10,000 page view and 1000 unique eveyday.... but before this i use to get only 2000 page view and 200 unique a day... so my system work really good... and the good thing is that it bring trafficf for free.... so i will suggest you to make some simple game softwares in VB or .NET and release it on the web... but make sure you put your site link on the program.... or else the users will never know about your site....
