    For Firefox user just add the Fast Video Download plugin and install it to your browser..then restart..

    after that there will be an icon at bottom right of your windows,

    view your Youtube video until/or you can drag the timeline to the end..and after the video is finish,just click the icon and start download your video..

    try it..it's really fast..:)

    For IDM user , just type FLV next to the other extensions in the File Types tab in Options menu
    When you click on the Youtube video link, it will be automatically downloaded.

    u can try a tool named flv downloader , I've been using it for a long time. it is able to save and download any streaming video from youtube,Google Video, Myspace, Metacafe, Dailymotion, iFilm, Music, eVideoShare, StreetFire, etc. off to your computer's hard drive free.

    No need to open any website, other than youtube.

    No need to install any plugin, except the Adobe Flash Player needed to play the video.

    Here is how you download it,
    The basic concept is that, the browser itself will download the video to your PC, and we just dont care about it. Just view the video till it buffers 100%. Then go to the temporary files folder of your browser. The arrange the files by latest modified. The file which you are looking for will be on the first place.

    I guess you know where the files will be saved in Windows.
    If you are using Linux and Firefox, here is the path
    => Filesystem \tmp

    Actually, linux can see the file itself as a flash file without the extension, unlike Windows
