How to download firefox extension - Instead of installing(for fuutre use)

    How to download firefox extension - Instead of installing(for fuutre use)

    because some time some extension work and some time not due to compatibility..so i need to create a folder of firefox with my FAVOURITE extension plug-in for later use....any way to download instead of direct installing..?

    I don't think you can, every time i tried it would start installing automatically.

    Just copy the download link and open it with a different browser like IE or Chrome - the outcome should be an .XPI file which you can later just drag-n-drop in your extensions folder.

    Open the Firefox extension in Internet Explorer or Google Chrome. These browsers don't know what to do files having .xpi extensions, so they will simply download them.
