How to download a folder from my ftp to my computer??

    was wondering which is the fastest way to do this? ftp really takes too much time

    ftp does it as fast as your internet connection is. You will not be able to do it faster in any way.

    ftp is the best and effecient im not sure but maybe u can do it via cpanel too

    Why do you want to do that. Your INTERNET SPEED are deciding how quick it is. Can ssh make your ISP deliver higher speed than you pay for? No.

    No dude i was thinking that it will get converted into zip and come together..never mind...what the hell in the world was i thinking anyway :p

    Aha, I see. Maybe there are something that can zip files on a server, that would be nice, somebody here will know that. Anybody ?

    Yes , you can unzip command to zip files on Linux server. Then easily download it . That will be faster :)

    I'm not sure if there is any thing that can zip files on server but Simple Copy paste from FTP is a bit slower than if you use a software. I recommend "Total Commander" and "Cute FTP".
