What repair/optimizing would it need? I just want to save it in a format in which I could send it to a client of mine since he is moving to another hosting. My partner who used to do this stuff has been missing for some time lately and which is why I have been exposed to all of this, so forgive me for my naiveness. IT
Check All --> Optimize Table I do it until all optimized tables show 'Table is already up to date' as a result. (Ignore ones that spit out 'The handler for the table doesn't support optimize'.) Anti-corrupt insurance. Once I uploaded a mySQL database...and it was messed up.
I'm at the Export area now, after doing all what you suggested, what options should I select? or just move on with the default stuff? IT
The Default should suffice. Just keep the Compression to None so that what is exported is a text-readable file in which the site owner can modify in case there is a need to make changes to the SQL.
