If you want to have phone verified account you need to have mobile number. No other way.. and u can only verify one facebook account with one number...

I don't recall having to verify my phone when I signed up for facebook. Can't you just not set a phone number? I'm sure there are tonnes of Facebook users without mobiles.

It seems that when you verify with a mobile number it gives
you more credibility. You could always grab one of those
cheap prepaid phones from Walmart if you really want
    to go that route.

But, I don't think you have to have a cell phone - it's not
    a requirement.

That mobile number issues is for those accounts that are inactive since account creation in facebook. That's what I think correct me if I am wrong.

when I first signed up for facebook, I used a friend's cell phone. I've been able to change the number and he's been able to use it on his account too. It was a few years ago so I don't remember the exact reason I had to do it. But I do remember they sent a text and I had to copy the code. So it would have to be a phone that could receive texts.

See if you can buy PVA accounts for about $1/account if you don't want to verify them by yourself.
