How to do this in Vista

    in xp if you push the task bar and make it higher, *that* happens. you must unlock it first

    Hello Nitin, you can do so easily by dragging the start bar to another column. The task/start bar if at the nromal height will show icons in system tray in a single row. if you make the height double it will be shown in 2 rows and if you make the height thrice , the icons will be shown in 3 rows.

    How to increase the task/start bar height.

    1. Unlock the taskbar. Right click on it and if lock taskbar is checked, uncheck it.
    2. Now, put the mouse cursor near the top edge of task bar so it will become a double headed arrow.
    Press left mouse button and Drag it up.

    Let me know if that works.
