How to do this in PS - Like a lens across an image with shadow underneath ? Thanks J

    Hi, if you are talking about the text it looks like there is a gray-brown band that is set to be partially transparent, then it has a subtle bevel and emboss layer effect placed on it. That gives it the thin white lines top and bottom. You can do a subtle diffusion of the background layer under that text band in a number of different ways, although I don't think that this image has that. The text is just a text layer above the band.

    Thanks - I kinda sorted it by placing an opaque layer of black onto it - reducing % to 70% then adding text layer on top - will work on the bevels - cheers
