Same process than other affiliate programs. It works well if the affiliate products you sell are part of the content on your website. If you have a website about travel and you sell stuff for travels, then you may have a lot of success. The products need to connect with the interest of the people on your website. Do not sell anything just because the commissions are high. Think in terms of niche market.
Yes it works, Add few zeros to the end of my earnings to see how super affiliates and many experienced DP members are doing. This income is from one blog site I own. I promote only 3 products and they all pay per sale. I was promoting one pay per lead product which gave me closer to $500 a month but I moved to their in house affiliate program now. So that income is seperate now from CJ. I promote CJ products through, one side bar ad - ( TEXT) 10 blog posts - ( Text and banners) one blog page - ( Text and banners) Most sales came through text links. I do not spend a cent on advertising now. All traffic is from my loyal readers as well as Google traffic + Reddit + Stumble upon traffic. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask any question.
The best niche I found in CJ was the hosting offers, you can easily get $100 - $120 for a signup. Run a hosting review site or something similar and you can send targeted traffic to your hosting campaigns. It isn't hard to make $1,000/mo from that.
