How to do SEO of a self hosted Blog

    Hi everyone,
    I have made a self hosted blog on Gadgets. Now am not getting that how to do SEO of that in a proper order. Some of my friends said that as each post in your blog is different so you need to do SEO of your each post. Am just wondering that is that so???
    Should i do marketing for each and every single post or should i choose some generic keywords regarding Gadgets and start SEO of those keywords?? Am confused now.
    Kindly give your suggestions about this.

    Their is not different method of promotion for self hosted blog so do this as normal SEO work
