The first thing is to make sure your website is fully functional and that you have internal link structure set correctly. Plenty of unique content. Once you have the onPage seo sorted then do a varied mix of article directory submissions, blogs, forums, social sites and try to obtain back links from related sites (Not easy, but not impossible either). Hire someone.... Yes, I am serious. Unless you have 6 months to a year to learn how to do it yourself and to practice on unimportant sites, you should hire someone. Do you think that you can post a question on a forum, have 5 people answer you, you do the few things they suggest and that's it, you are on page 1? Would you go to a healthcare forum and post "how do I do heart surgery on myself?" (No joke dude, what you are asking is almost the same.)
