Reading this forum is a great place to start!

    What are you advertising?

No matter what you are advertising, think about questions like: What is your margin? What percentage of people who visit your site eventually buy your product? How much do popular keywords cost? How much are you willing to spend?

There's no one guide that will answer all of your questions, but hopefully you can find some help here!

If you're ready to experiment, try AdWords or another big program with a small budget to see how your campaign goes.

sign up to an affiliate program such as Commision Junction or Neverblueads (see sig) find some products you would be interested in selling and then go from there.

You can start with a very simple one (pay per lead or sign up.) I have one which pay $3 per sign up.

If you will spend more, than $5.000 a year, its better to contact a small Search Engine Marketing agency. I don`t know the prices in your country, but here in Slovakia, if you spend about $5.000 a year, your campaigns can be managed very proffesionally and you will pay just 10% to this budget for the PPC company. Of couse, the service is untill the budget is active.

PPC is great for smaller sites, compared to CPM, CPA, or CPD

Yes, you should really study PPC and go in slow before thinking it's easy. The more time you think about coming up with a plan will save you a lot of hassle and money in the long run.

    Really ?? That simple ..? ?

    PPC requires :

    > a lot of research,
    > you to understand 'THE' product/service before promoting it,
    > realize who your target audience is,
    > convince them that the product/service is a must for them,

To do all this you need "
    > Good budget,
    > lot of trial and error runs, as most who know how to set up successful PPC campaign, will not want competition by teaching you how to set up one just like them. ..

    My 2 cents,
    /G

PS: I suck at PPC, any veteran wants to take me under their wings and guide me how to be successful in PPC ?? Let me know I have a decent budget .. :)
