Thanks for the interactions and giving me rich insights how the concept works i could now find some path to start my journey
No problem Rahulkapoor1, this is the main objective of this Forum. So if I summarize everything said, you have: to use Google Adwords Keyword tool (and Bing if necessary). to study the competitors Keywords and see which keywords they use. to analyze your target and the keywords they could type to reach the content provided by your website. Guys feel free to add things I could forget..
Another tip: don't go for a keyword that has tough competition, you need lots of money to outrank top sites and it's not worth it. I was in that position and I had to throw away my websites. How to check competition (what I do): 1. Look at website pagerank of top websites of a keyword in search engine. If top 3 sites has PR < 3, I will go for the keyword. 2. Check amount of backlinks for the top 10 sites. If there's a website that has backlinks less than 500, it's good to go. 3. Check page authority and domain authority. Sometime a website has low backlinks but high page and domain authority ranks in top 3. Less than 60 or 50 is good for me. CMIIW
Thank you maurisrx for your valuable tip..I have one question if you can answer me i would be keen when the link is submitted to directories do we have to submit different descriptions which are completely unique? We have a website where description remains same in the main page and in the inner page so how to proceed further if the description changes will the editors accept the submission?
I think the keywords can be effectively chosen from google adwords which is the best keyword tool to search for one's website. In case of the higher searching keywords, lower will be the competition, the higher will be that keyword's rank.
Check out the Follow browser extension, you can load up any competitors sites and get some of the top keywords being used for both SEO and SEM. As mentioned earlier, you can also use google keyword tool to find more keywords, but it's best to also not just use keyword tools but also to look at what's working for other sites that you may be competing against and see what they're ranking for. http://follow.net/
