How to do competitor analysis

    I need suggestions for analyzing the competitors. I want to know the factors to consider before start analyzing. Help me please.

    Major Factors needs to consider :
    1) No. of Pages,
    2) Backlinks

    For competitor analysis best option is use software like IBP, But you may use the SEO Tools

    we check our competitors web site traffic, website visitors and more detail from many paid tools, other free source is we can check its back links.

    I usually check a few things:

    Backlinks (Yahoo site checker, or Web CEO software)
    Search Engines positions (Web CEO software or manual search)
    Traffic Sources (Compete.com)
    Traffic levels (Alexa.com)
    Their general SEO (Web CEO software)
    Their domain age, pr/authority (dnscoop.com)
