How to do a propper backlink search?

    I notice a big diference in the amount of backlinks in google depending on how you search.
    what im wondering is, what is the correct way?

    For example is i search ( Link:www.dirfly.com - i get no results :confused: )
    http://www.google.nl/search?sourcei...XA,DVXA:2005-20,DVXA:en&q=Link:www.dirfly.com

    But when i search for Link: www.dirfly.com ( notice the space between " link" and "www.dirfly.com" i get a result of 2700 backlinks
    http://www.google.nl/search?sourcei...A,DVXA:2005-20,DVXA:en&q=Link:+www.dirfly.com

    So what is the correct way to do a backlink search? WITH or WITHOUT the space between Link and Domain?

    google's backlink checker doesn't ever give complete information. Try Yahoo's site explorer instead.
