    Hello everyone,

I need to disable the Save and Collaborate button in PDF Reader, I think it is possible by using JavaScript... but not sure how!

It has been explained here how to remove the toolbar and disabling button by JavaScript http://support.adobe.com/devsup/devs...docs/51866.htm but I couldn't do it...

I will even pay you $25 reward to your PayPal when you send me the correct solution...

    Thanks

I think there's no way. It has been asked a lot on the forums I've been on. There are workarounds like FileOpen and such but no direct way of doing it (especially with Javascript).

Well I have seen someone who did that, so I'm sure about it... There are JavaScript options for PDFs when you create with Adobe Acrobat.. I just don't have time for it thats why I will give you reward for your help :)

I can disable the whole PDF toolbar by adding a simple code to the end of the link, but then you can't see the next - previous and zoom buttons...

You can check from here its been explained but I couldn't do it http://support.adobe.com/devsup/devsup.nsf/docs/51866.htm

    Thanks

Yup the hiding of the toolbar is possible, but I don't think one works for hiding Save alone. You can, however, show PDF files thru Java applets (or I don't know what are those called) just like Scribd does it.
