How to determine which niche content topic would be best to focus on content writing?

Hi there. I'm new to the forums and I was wondering how other freelance writers came to choose a niche topic to write on? I pretty much write about everything but I wanted to try writing about a niche topic or two so I can improve my writing skills. Its good to be able to write about anything, but I also wanted to be able to sort of master at least one or two topics rather than be a jack of all trades but a master of none.

I was also planning on collaborating with a friend of mine in writing an article pack or two (and getting them reviewed) so we could get feedback with our writing skills. If you were to recommend a topic to focus an article pack on, what topic would it be?

Thank you for reading and I hope to hear your thoughts on this.^^

Ask yourself, which niche you love most. On which topic you have the freeness. And if you have some technical skills, grab that niche. And one last word, there is always chance to improve.

Write what you like. Write what you know. Write what you wish you knew.

Don't always focus on what's hot and popular because often it's the narrower niches that pay the most. ;)

I'll concur with what's been said already. :)

And if you're just starting, going with what you know is almost mandatory.

Whatever's in most demand that you know something about.

Focus on what you like to write about. Think of something that you know you'll be comfortable writing about. If you think you know quite a lot about cars, then focus on that.

If you like what you're doing, it'll reflect in your articles :)

Thanks for the feedback. I'll definitely start writing with my friend about the topics we like and hopefully I can get people to review it soon . :)

I know you've already gotten advice -- I totally agree with it. The other suggestion is to think that you can "specialize" in several different areas. So think of former jobs, favorite hobbies and things like that. Anything can lead you to a great content topic. Good luck! :)

I'm going to jump on this boat too and say to write what you already know about and take it another step: write about what you are interested in. People often choose the higher paying niches because they want to make money. The problem with that is, if you have no personal interest in it, you'll soon get tired of writing about it and your money making efforts will suffer. :)

The internet is a great big vast place. You'd be surprised at all of the topics that pay well!
