How to determine daily budget for display campaign?

I am creating a display campaign on AdWords for the first time. I am trying to figure out what the best way is to determine what a good starting budget would be. I assumed that I would be able to type in the keyword I'd like to target, see a list of potential sites that my ad would be shown on, along with average CPCs of those sites and in aggregate, and this would help me determine roughly how many clicks I could expect per day with a given budget, but I have seen no such tools. What is your workflow for getting started with a new Display campaign? I really appreciate any guidance!

I think the best way would be experimenting. Whenever you set a CPC for a keyword, the system will display its expected position in the search results. You have to find a balance between the high ad position and the CPC rate.
As for me, I tried the auto-bidding, it chooses rather optimal CPC rates regarding your budget. It works pretty fine in common cases.

generally for testing purposes $5-$10 a day is sufficient.
