I don't know the answer to your question, but even with the location I would not do it. It may be a scam.

If they are going through a proxy or service, you can't get their IP
address. You only get the IP address of whatever host is connecting to
you, and that would be MSN's or Yahoo's Messenger service (i.e., those
services are connecting to you, not the user). You could always just
    ask them.

Possibly if you where to do a file transfer with them.
That would open up a direct connecton.

Then you can do a netstat -a and found out who is connected to you.

    Just a thought

    calirob was right.
    Actually:
1.Open cmd and do a netstat -a before you send a file to him on Y! and copy/paste all the connections to notepad
2.While you transfer the file do another netstat -a and copy/paste results
3.Compare the results. You will see 1 or 2 more connections. [ your IP: remote IP ]
4.Then go to a website that can trace his IP and see the location. For example:
    That's it. Enjoy ;)

Thanx a lot for all your replies... today only i am gonna try this with any of my frirend,
and i found a another way to detect IP address of any user on yahoo, its like , u have to ask him to send a mail, and then through mail u can get his IP,
what u have to do is , go to "mail option" at the top right side of mail page and then click on to "general preference" and then tick on to the "show all headers", then the senders Ip i wil be shown when u`ll open the mail,
its much easier and appropriate method i suppose
