    Hello,
Is there a way of knowing that the clicks that my site's got, real or fraud? How google protect the advertisers from spamming?

    Thank you...

Well, if it’s coming from one demographic area than they can tell, but if its done by a computer program than it could be a little more tricky to spot. It’s also hard to prove in court what someone’s attention was. That’s why I can’t wait until Pay Per Action starts kicking in.

Click fraud is part of PPC.

keep your yes on ROI - create bid values situations that you ROI are positive and forget the click fraud thing.

What you need to know about click fraud is that they are more present in content network and target non rich countries.

waste your time running report and improving your campaigns do not waste your analysing click originating ips.

I agree. I get tired of hearing people bitch about click fraud. It's a problem, no doubt about it. But it IS part of the business. Even with 25% click fraud it is much more effective then any other advertising method available IMO.

This is an issue for all advertisers, I have had a look at a new free thing called click sentinel - not installed it yet but it may work. Some firms charge tonnes for monitoring - so weigh up what makes more business sense.

Has anybody out there used third party click fraud detection/monitoring software? To be honest, most of the offerings I'm coming across aren't much more robust that information you can easily glean from your web analytics package and log data.

Google probably has algorithms to detect click fraud. I say how I guess they do it.

They analyze IP addresses. If they see a lot of click from the same area or using open proxies they alarm the stuff.

I don't think that advertiser should monitor it also, but better safe than sorrow :).

They do indeed, on my monthly bills I see a penny or two credited back for 'quality' reasons.

This is Free. Not sure if anyone posted the site, but if anyone is interested in Tracking Fraudulent Clicks, this will work. The price is right too. They are the only Free One on the net from what I am told and what they claim.

    Hope this helps.

It would be best to leave this to Google itself and keep a close eye on your spending. Any spike should raise loud voices to Google and have them detect it.

Do not divert your mind into something which will not help you developing your business. Let Google their work. They know this best.

If you're certain you have gotten invalid clicks and have been charged for those clicks, collect all necessary info and file an invalid clicks report. I don't have the url handy but search adwords help to find the form to file an invalid clicks report.

I've done this once before and google were quick to acknowledge the issue and reimburse the funds!
