You are right about this 'gap' spider man. That's why checking backlinks and using wayback machine is also important.
It's often down or can't connect to databases indy, the way an0n and others described is as much as you need.
somewere close to 0 ? Anyway, I think the PR update is comming, so this is why the nofollow is there Trying to keep that PR from the main and get away from the penalty Maybe..
LOL! Yeah, that blog of mine (in my signature) is a PR0. I don't claim it to be otherwise Many moons back, it was a PR4 but it got slapped by you know who
I think I must also add this :- If I have a bidding directory with a good PR of say 4 or 5 (and I am talking about genuine hard earned PR), I ain't gonna be opening bids at a paltry $1. Likewise, if I have a blog with good PR, I ain't gonna be selling links for cheap, that's for sure. Nothing good comes cheap I suppose the price of bids would be an indicator of a potentially bogus PR declaration?
It seems that your client (tufans) strikes again http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=901723 Perhaps you should expect another sig link request PS. - I know you are a nice guy, you've been on these forums for a while...perhaps you should be a bit more careful on what sites you promote under your sig. It's pretty funny to see a guy who knows his stuff "preaching" the good ways of the business and on the other hand advertising crap sites. It's a matter of image at the end, isn't it? Just a friendly advice
I don't necessarily endorse the links in my signiture. In fact I think my fruitydirectory is the only one I'd be happy to stand in the street and claim as my own, probably because of the fact that I do own it and have a great degree of control over it. Just like with my directory submission service, just because I take payment in return for promotion of that site doesn't believe I agree with it or endorse it. We could rip into official bodies for allowing Coca Cola and McDonals for advertising on a sporting like the champions league etc. They probably don't worry too much that they are endorsing unhealthy food. They probably enjoy getting paid for it.
Not that I suspected anything other than this Mikey - but isn't it ironic that while the 'home nations' didn't qualify for this years Euro competion (Euro 2008), we're all sitting at home promoting the London Olympics in 2012 and getting kids fit and healthy to become champions...while everyone else in Europe is currently sitting in Vienna with McDonald's flags hanging from their hats?
Not one for telling others their business, but if you plan to stay in the game for a long while ( and after 25+ years selling high end ) the most important name in your sig is yours. and with that your rep, for me it is very important to whome you endorse / product or service etc because as time goes by you will get these responses mikey 1090 - he just pushes crap or mikey 1090 - stands behind quality, and it is important to make these calls early on Then as life rolls on you will find one of two things, 1. your just a run of the mill everybody or 2. you stand out from the crowd, earn high dollars for your years of work and command a respectful and loyal following the end result being you choose the best of those clammering for your service and name and enjoy the rewards that come with it. just 2 cents to think on.
It's not just bidding directories Check out : http://www.membegate.com/ a VERY clever attempt because it gets the PR from http://www.membe*r*gate.com/ I don't understand this obsession with fake PR
Hehe! It's just that when I posted this thread, I didn't know how these guys manage to get a high PR for a new directory. Now I know that there are tricks employed by these scammers. Not that I want to go as low as these people. Reputation and honesty counts for me
Whether or not one endorses the products/services they accept advertising for, it still reflects upon them just as the submissions they choose to accept or decline. If some have no qualms with accepting advertising from those that are just here to take advantage of others, so be it. But I see little difference between either of them.
