I thought I'd share with you all a logo design tutorial of mine which covers the development steps of my Southeastern Music Gallery logo which focuses on combining a logo mark with type. Hopefully someone can take away something useful from it. If anyone would like to see the development process of any of the logos featured in the second video below please comment and it will be factored into our voting pool. If you feel that I fit your desired style and have an enquiry for a project please feel free to contact me with your requirements. I am also seeking collaboration with serious web developers who have frequent requirements for profesisonal logo design services. I bet you have that book.. I saw a book about logos, I wanna buy it and I remember it had logos on the cover, exactly like those you do!
Other than necessary aesthetic tastes and skills with graphic software such as Illustrator and Fireworks (Photoshop is not primarily for designing logos right? Cause' logos are usually designed in vector graphics and PS isn't for vector graphics, though logos are then exported into raster images), one should also learn from existing designers and their work. Such inspirations are provided at these sites: http://logopond.com/ http://www.logofaves.com/ http://www.famous-logos.com/ http://www.logomoose.com/ Eye candies they are!
