Rules How to deal with dishonest members?

I had a bad experience with a member of this forum. I will not mention his nick, or post a link to his profile, because I could get banned for that. I have contacted one of the mods a few days ago, and received a replay that mods do not interfere with these sort of things. So how can I get justice, or warn other members not to get scammed in the same manner?
Further more, I am getting the impression that if I continue to press this matter I could get banned.
Did anyone had a similar problem and how did you deal with it?

    You can:
    1) Leave a negative itrader (you might get one in retaliation too)
    2) Post in the deal thread
    3) Give red rep.

Your account currently can't give out itraders though.

There are plenty of other threads here on this...why not read them. All you can do is leave a negative iTrader for them.

As I assume you have been told and what it said in all other threads here on this,,,,, this is a private business dispute between you and them ...

I also had this experience. One of the former members of the forums is not paying for the work I have completed. He has just disappeared. Although he paid for the first couple of assignments which built my confidence in him. It seems he has been banned from the DP forums as well. Not sure how to go about this. As a relatively large sum is involved.

I was able to give iTraders couple of days ago, but now I cannot. I know this is a private dispute, but don't you think I should warn other members so they wouldn't get scammed? I will read everything I find as soon as I find enough time for that, but in the meantime please help me not to make a serious mistake. Thank you Helvetii and Agent000, and a thank you to chirag_nn for sharing his experience.
